Assembly Technician
James M. Pleasants Co is a manufacturers' representative in the HVAC, plumbing and industrail industries. This position is hands-on in the fabrication shop of our HYFAB division, at 206 Seneca Road, Greensboro, NC.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with fabrication and assembly of engineered to order hydronic, plumbing and steam systems
Processes include:
Cutting
Threading
Welding
Soldering
Brazing
Wiring
Assembly
Testing
Cleaning
Painting
Performing other duties as requested.
Reports to: HYFAB shop supervisor and/or assistant supervisor
Work and Skill Requirements:
Positive attitude
Maintaining clean and organized work area
Mechanical systems aptitiude
Pipe trades experience not required, but highly desirable
Ability to work well with others
Other Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license in the United States
Pass a pre-employment physical and toxicology screen
Working Conditions:
General shop environment with normal hazards associated with metal fabrication
Working Hours:
Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7am until 5:30pm with a 30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. Some overtime may be required if workload exceeds normal shop capacity.
Pay:
This is an hourly position with overtime pay for time worked in excess of 40 hours per week. Pay is commensurate with experience, with opportunities for increases at annual reviews rewarding increasing skill level and commitment.
